We assess these interests against the rights and reasonable expectations of affected individuals.

How we handle vehicle and module files

DZ-AUTOTECHNO provides specialist automotive electronics, software and technical services. Some services require diagnostic information, electronic-control-unit files or identifiers such as VIN, ECU/TCU/BCM part numbers, hardware/software references and diagnostic dates.

Customer uploads remain confidential service data. Raw customer diagnostic files are not made available for public browsing or sold as customer-identifiable datasets. Access is limited to the purposes needed to provide, support, secure and improve the service.

Depending on the service, technical attributes may be retained for compatibility checks, service history, fraud prevention, quality control, troubleshooting and internal technical reference. Where practical, we minimise direct customer identifiers in engineering and statistical use.

You should only upload files and vehicle information that you are authorised to provide. Do not upload unrelated personal documents, identity documents or other sensitive personal information unless we specifically request it for a legitimate and lawful purpose.

Payments are processed through dedicated payment infrastructure

Where Stripe checkout is offered on autotechno.fr, payment-card and supported wallet information is entered into payment infrastructure provided by Stripe rather than being requested through ordinary email or support messages. DZ-AUTOTECHNO receives the transaction information necessary to confirm and manage the order, such as payment status and transaction references.

Stripe processes personal information under its own privacy terms. You can learn more through the Stripe Privacy Portal.

Never send complete payment-card details by email, contact form or chat. Use the secure checkout options presented on the website.

Essential functions first. Optional tracking by choice.

OpenCart and related website components may use cookies or similar storage for functions such as the shopping cart, login sessions, checkout, security, language/currency preferences and remembering privacy choices. Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user may operate without consent where the law permits.

Analytics, advertising, conversion-measurement, social-media or other non-essential tracking technologies require an appropriate legal basis. Where consent is required, they should remain disabled until the user makes a valid choice.

  • Users should be able to accept or refuse non-essential cookies with comparable ease.
  • Consent choices should be recorded and respected.
  • Users should be able to change or withdraw consent later through an accessible privacy/cookie control.
  • If Google advertising or measurement services are enabled, information about Google's processing should be made easily accessible from the relevant consent information.

The cookie preference interface should provide the current vendor and purpose list for optional technologies actually enabled on the site. This policy does not replace the need for a functioning consent mechanism where one is required.

Marketing choices stay under your control

If you subscribe to the DZ-AUTOTECHNO newsletter or otherwise opt in to marketing, we may use your email address and related preference information to send product, service or platform updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe method provided in the message or by contacting us.

Operational communications about an order, payment, account security, return, download or support case are service communications and may still be sent when necessary to complete or protect the transaction.

When information may be shared

We do not sell customer contact information. We may disclose personal data only when reasonably necessary to operate the business, fulfil an order, protect the platform or comply with law.

  • Payment processors, such as Stripe where used for checkout.
  • Hosting, infrastructure and security providers supporting the store and online services.
  • Delivery and logistics providers when a physical order must be shipped.

  • Authorities or courts when disclosure is required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
  • Analytics or advertising providers only where such tools are enabled and the required privacy choices have been respected.

DZ-AUTOTECHNO serves customers internationally and may use service providers that process information in different countries. Where applicable data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate contractual, organisational or other lawful transfer mechanisms available for the relevant service.

Children, automated decisions and external websites

Children

DZ-AUTOTECHNO's automotive products and professional technical services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek to collect children's personal data for marketing. If you believe a child has provided personal data inappropriately, contact us so the situation can be reviewed.

Automated decision-making

External websites

Our website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are controlled by those third parties, so you should review their privacy information before providing personal data to them.

Keeping this policy current

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology, providers, legal obligations or data practices change. The latest version will be published at autotechno.fr/privacy-policy with its effective date.

Where a material change affects how existing personal data is used and applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will take the appropriate steps before applying that new use.
